The beautiful architectural features of Holy Name Church had been lost over the years. The walls, ceilings, and wood wainscot had been painted in a simple two-color paint scheme. The Dependable Painting Company was hired to help bring back the Church’s architectural beauty. We performed various tests to determine the previous paint color schemes. Using this information, we worked closely with the Pastor and the Building Committee to create a more appropriate and pleasing color scheme.

Scaffolding was erected over a two-month period to access the high vaulted ceilings. Damaged plaster elements were recast and replaced as needed. Simple paint colors were used, and decorative plaster elements were highlighted using glazes. Broken gold leaf “Shabin” was used on the ceilings at the main and two side altars. The painted wood wainscot was chemically stripped and restored back to its original natural condition.
