Cuyahoga Valley National Park Visitors Center

In the heart of Ohio’s national park, a historic building has been turned into the park’s new Visitors Center. The building dates back to at least 1905, when it was a company store for the Akron Cleveland Bag Company.

Dependable Painting performed interior and exterior painting and staining which also included two smaller buildings nearby housing restrooms and offices. An outdoor pavilion was also built and stained to resemble an old barn without walls.

Custom stain colors were used for the main building’s interior, while other finishes were chosen to match the park’s other buildings across the river in the historic town of Boston.

Special lifts were used to reach the side of the buildings which rest on the bank of the Cuyahoga River.
